Iris is an AI-powered chat application that provides conversational AI assistance with
end-to-end encryption, customizable spaces, and multiple AI model support. The Service
is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
3. Account Registration
- You must authenticate via Ave to access the full features of Iris
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Generate, distribute, or store illegal content
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
- Attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized areas
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
- Generate content that violates AI provider terms of service
- Attempt to extract, reverse engineer, or replicate AI models
5. AI-Generated Content
You understand and acknowledge that:
- AI responses are generated by third-party AI models and may contain errors or inaccuracies
- You should not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice
- AI-generated content may not always be factually accurate or up-to-date
- You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it
- The AI does not have memory of past conversations unless explicitly saved in context
6. Intellectual Property
- The Iris name, logo, and service are proprietary
- You retain ownership of content you create using the Service
- AI-generated responses are provided under the respective AI provider's terms
- You grant us a license to store your encrypted content for service provision
7. Privacy and Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Encryption and Security
- We use end-to-end encryption to protect your data
- You are responsible for maintaining access to your encryption key
- We cannot recover encrypted data if you lose access to your key
- While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely secure
9. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google),
authentication services (Ave), and other services. Your use of these integrations
is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for actions taken based on AI-generated content
- We are not liable for data loss due to encryption key loss or service interruption
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (if any)
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lantharos, Iris, and its operators from any claims,
damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms,
or infringement of any rights of another party.
12. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the Service
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms
- Upon termination, your encrypted data will be deleted from our servers
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant
changes by posting the updated terms and changing the "Last updated" date. Continued use of
the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws,
without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through
binding arbitration or in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
